The World Is As You Are
by Deborah Harrigan
Dr. Harold Bloomfield was on the right track when
he wrote How To Enjoy The Love Of Your Life. When you are in love,
the world is a happy place.
1) If you are filed with love and serenity, it is a joyful world.
2) If there is fear inside, it is a fearful, mistrustful world.
3) A loving person lives in a world full of happy people not only
because
of the love and happiness they radiate, but because they bring out
happiness in others. Even those people who are angry and depressed
experience temporary joy in their presence. The loving person
responds to, and therefore brings out, the best and highest in
others.
4) As you become more loving, you will find the
world to be a friendly, loving place that is designed to give you
all that you may need. The Good Life is waiting to be
rediscovered.

A
Spiritual Pilgrimage: Part 1
by Diane Forestell May
Notre Dame
For centuries in every tradition
and culture mankind has sought to enhance their
spiritual being through journeys to places of spiritual
power. This fall, Diane
Forestell and Tom May joined a group of spiritual seekers to travel
to sacred sites in France. Many
of these sites have greeted pilgrims for hundreds of years.
The cathedrals at Chartres and Notre Dame were once sacred
places for the Druids. The
combination of the focused spiritual energies of centuries of
prayer, with the powerful natural earth energies that have attracted
people for longer than we know, creates a unique experience for
meditation and inner growth.
The intention of this trip was
to feel the inspiration of the Virgin Mary.
Although many sites were visited, there were three sites that
Diane felt the presence and guidance of Mary: Notre Dame, Chartres
and Lourdes. The energy
field at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris gives a sense of inner quiet
as one approaches. Inside,
as Diane was beginning her meditation, she sensed the presence, in
spirit, of a shy, quiet woman dressed in a simple robe.
Thinking that many different people would be attracted to
this inspiring place, Diane nodded to her and continued with her
meditation. When
finished meditating she noticed that the woman was still there
sitting beside her. With
a sideways glance from her gentle face the woman said, “People do
not know that I am a simple person.”
The shock of recognition was replaced by the warmth and love
of the woman whom Diane then understood to be Mary.
Mary said,
“Jesus taught me profound love.
As a child when he slept there was light around him.
He felt peoples’ pain and anger and was distressed as a
small child. I learned
to soothe him with love. I
took Jesus to the mountains to see the wholeness of life; how one
thing feeds the other. Many
things came to him to give meaning to what we saw.
He showed me that we are each individual with goals and
dreams for our own purpose.”
“When I left Saarn to help
Mary, he created the movement of Divine Worship that connected all
to the Godhead. I could not influence this.
On my return he told me that he would be speaking to all who
would listen. My children have my heart.”
Mary said “the Divine Heart is
where the messages come from.”
A
beacon had been lit for Diane’s path on the pilgrimage.

A Spiritual Pilgrimage:
Part 2
by Diane Forestell May
A group of ‘pilgrims’ were traveling to the sacred sites of
France. When the group left Paris the next day the tour group drove
to the city of Chartres. Tom remarked that the energies were so
strong driving through this town that he could easily feel the shift
within him. After checking into a former monastery that is now a
hotel, the group walked up the hill to the 900 year old Chartres
Cathedral. The group was taking a tour of the cathedral and had been
granted special permission to “walk” Chartres' famous
labyrinth set in the stone floor of the church.
They sat quietly in anticipation on Chartres Cathedral’s wide
stone steps amid the old buildings of the charming town waiting for
their tour guide. Diane, relaxed and meditative, looked up to see
Mary again appear before her on the steps quietly adjusting her
veil. Mary said that in her time they lowered their veils when they
went into temple. Mary went on to explain that when the nuns walked
this Labyrinth they asked questions of God on the way into the
center of the Labyrinth and received answers as they walked
out. She said it isn’t necessary to remove your shoes.
Mary then told Diane that she wouldn’t be with them at each place
they visited on this trip. Mont St. Michel wasn’t her thing, but
she would see them again, later in the trip.
The group stirred as Bruno, the tour guide, approached. Inside the
church, the guide led the group down to the crypt. Diane noticed
Mary standing next to him adjusting her veil as he pointed out that
enshrined in a beautiful case is a piece of Mary’s veil. She just
smiled sweetly.
Upstairs, at the Labyrinth, everyone removed their shoes preparing
to walk the sacred circle. As Diane approached its entrance Mary
appeared walking in front of her. Mary turned and said, “I will
take you through.”
They walked a few yards and Mary turned and said, “Ask your first
question." A question spontaneously formed in Diane’s mind,
“How will I know God?” They walked a while and then Diane heard
the response, “Through wisdom.”
Again they walked deeper into the Labyrinth and Mary turned and
said, “Ask your second question.” Diane walked and thought a few
minutes and asked, “How will I know this wisdom?” They walked
and contemplated a few more minutes and then Diane heard, “Through
thoughts, acts, words.”
Diane doesn’t remember the third question that was asked, but when
Mary turned the fourth time and said ask your final question, Diane
asked, “How will I achieve divinity?” Diane then heard, “You
already have.” And at that moment they turned and walked into the
center of the Labyrinth. Diane felt a radiant beam of divine light
bathe her as she felt joy, peace and love fill her.
As they walked away from the center of the Labyrinth Mary turned and
said, “To know it, understand love, truth, honor, and judgment.”
Diane continued to walk and ponder this when Mary turned to her and
said that she wanted her to experience God. Mary asked Diane to look
into her eyes. Diane looked deep into Mary’s eyes and saw the
entire universe within. It looked like the night sky with stars
twinkling. Diane floated in the vast universe that was within Mary.
Mary told Diane to hold this within. Diane felt like she
floated the rest of the way out of the Labyrinth. And for the next
two days she felt like everything she saw was filtered through that
image of the universe.

A
Spiritual Pilgrimage: Part
3
by Diane Forestell May
Lourdes, France
September 15, 2000
Three ‘pilgrims’ from the
traveling group approached the entrance to the grounds of the grotto
and church of Lourdes. The
group walked down the broad sidewalk
giggling and enjoying the beautiful evening, recounting
theirs day’s events exploring the grotto and community around the
site where Mary had visited the children many years ago.
Mary appeared, walking in front of them.
Her countenance was very solemn and she said, “I want you
to show deep reverence here.”
Diane related Mary’s message to the others and turned back
to find that Mary was not still walking with them.
They continued toward the church and decided to watch the
evening’s candlelight processional from atop the great staircase
of the church, overlooking the plaza.
It was a spectacular sight to see thousands of people
carrying candles, walking around the long promenade as they sang Ave
Maria and prayed.
When the service ended, the
group walked toward the exit. Mary
started walking in front of them again, adjusting her veil.
She said that she wanted them to have that experience.
Then as she walked along she
turned to them and said: ”Children of my Blessed Heart, you have
experienced the power of love and devotion, the purity of love, the
devotion of the faithful to their higher beliefs.
Give what you’ve learned to others.
Share you love. Share your devotion.
Share your faith. Children of my heart, may it be with you always.”
She looked over at Diane and
said, “Are you OK?”
Just moved beyond words.

Intuitive Ability
by Diane Forestell May
Often we, at Future, Inc. are asked, "How do you do
it?" There are many things yet to understand about the workings
of the mind and the intellect. Intuitive ability is an aspect of the
intellect in much the same way one’s access of memory is. The
ability to see, feel, hear, know a memory is very similar in
awareness as "tuning in" to future events.
Try it yourself. Envision Thanksgiving dinner last year.
Do you see where you are, the food on the table, and the people that
are there? Can you feel, smell, hear it? Now shift quickly into
Thanksgiving dinner this year. Can you see where you are and who is
there and what is happening?
Accessing different aspects of the mind will open many new
possibilities. As John Travolta’s character in the movie
"Phenomenon" portrayed, there is still much to learn about
the brain. Through many years of practice and fine tuning the
utilization of this part of the mind’s workings, one can access
information, it seems, at will. Most intuitives would agree that it
requires very intense concentration, focused thought and intention.
Intuitive ability is at the forefront of man’s pioneering into the
mind.

Message from Buddha
as channeled by Diane Forestell May
Diane Forestell May has received messages from the Buddha since 1995. One
of his many messages on finding one's joy is shared here.
"As we walk this path of life , we often see the struggles
of those around us. We often understand and share the pain of those
that we live with. It is most often that we understand this pain, as
it is something that is quite discomforting. It is also available to
us to understand their joy. And to help and assist with amplifying
joy. We feel the necessity to understand pain. Not as often do we
feel the necessity to understand the joy. I wish for you to see that
joy may exist in your life, if you wish to focus on it, if you wish
to understand it.
"The cause of joy for each of you is different; as is the
cause of sorrow. To know your sorrow, you usually look to your
childhood. To know your joy, you do not think of this same
technique. As a child your joy was natural. It was not qualified in
any manner. To re-experience this joy is a state of being. It does
not require you to be child-like. It requires you to have an
understanding of joy.
"Each day I wish for you to see how it is that can create
joy in your life. An exercise, if you will, that will show you what
you enjoy, what brings happiness into your life. To say that to
understand your suffering brings joy is to emphasize that you can
only be happy if you have been unhappy. Scientists may say that, on
balance, this is a true statement. But does a child know unhappiness
to experience his joy? I feel that joy is a natural state and sorrow
is when we have disconnected from the true state of joy."
Future, Inc. offers monthly sessions
with the Buddha.

Equation For Success:
Having the End in Mind
by Jeri Costa
The new year always brings us the
promise of self-correction or the generation of change.
As human beings we are always looking toward improvement in our
lives, but we often fail to truly envision the end result with clarity and
with the absolute knowingness that we can achieve these results.
Are you ready to turn your outdate
resolutions that seldom make it through the month of January into a
framework for long-term excellence? Can
you imagine the end, what it is you wish to achieve with detail and
conviction? If the answer is
“yes” you are more than halfway there.
The second half is doing something you do everyday of your life
without even knowing it, accessing your subconscious mind.
All the knowledge and thinking you do gets stored in the subconscious
and you pull it out when you need to use it automatically.
When you get in a car, drive to work, do you stop and think about
every move you make? Or for the
most part, do you arrive at your destination with little thought about how
it happened? Would it surprise
you to know you were in a state of self-induced hypnosis that had the end in
mind and diverted from conscious to unconscious action?
Yet how often we think of hypnosis as a mysterious state of trance
where we lose our sense of reality and are under the control of the hypno-therapist.
It is simply a misconception and could not be further from the truth.
Any area of your life where you seek
improvement, direction or motivation can be greatly influenced by this
process. Most individuals can
work with a hypno-therapist and, generally, in four one-hour sessions can
dramatically improve their life and learn to implement this self-changing
technique themselves. The
following is an abbreviated list of the areas where hypnosis can bring about
change.
-
Weight loss
-
Smoking
-
Anxiety

Stress Reduction
-
Depression
-
Pain Relief

Insomnia

For Life: The Hog Who Wore Pantyhose
by Jeri Costa
Poor Harriet the Hog needed all the help
she could get to cover up her well-endowed thighs.
One day while she was hiding behind the fence wallowing in her misery
a fine-looking bull glanced over in her direction.
"Why are you over there where no
one can see you?" he bellowed. "No
reason at all," she replied, fully aware she was embarrassed to be
seen. Being the wise old bull
that he was, he knew what the problem might be.
"Say," he said, "have you seen the farmer's wife? Why,
her two legs could be mistaken for tree trunks; and you could set up a
picnic for ten on her rear end. But
because she wears these things called pantyhose you would never know it.
After she wears them she throws them in the bin at the back of the
barn. They could be yours for the taking!"
Harriet concealed her delight and headed
straight for the trash. She put
on those pantyhose and strutted around the other hogs.
Her pork was compacted like it was shrink-wrapped, and she was proud
of it.
A few days later a neighboring goat
wandered over to see what was new in "Hogsville." As soon as he
saw Harriet he threw back his head with laughter and contempt.
"You got a problem?" she
squealed. He could hardly
contain himself as he snickered back, "They won't send you off to the
packing plant; your bacon has already been fried in
those pantyhose." Trying
to appear composed and unruffled she shrieked, "In case you haven't
noticed, I am cloaked in the most beautiful sheer nylon, and I would never
associate with the likes of you!"
He then replied in the most sarcastic of tones,
"Why, Miss Harriet, I do declare
I see beneath the clothes you wear
Is that a leg, or is that a log?
Nothing has changed; you're still a hog."
What pantyhose are you wearing in your
life that cover up, but will never change, who you are?
Why are you stuck wearing your old beliefs when they do not serve
you? Who are the bulls in your
life that co-conspire to conceal what needs to change?
What happens when the cruel goat comes along and blows your cover?
In my experience as a motivational and
life-transitional coach, I often find that the greatest barrier to success
is the cover-up we wear. So much of our energy is dissipated by obscuring what does
not work, rather than changing it. We
live in constant fear, keeping up our guard so that we will not be found out
-- so that no one will see that we are like everyone else: fallible human
beings.
It is ingrained in us from early
childhood that unless we look a certain way, are the best at what we do and
score the most points, we had better run for cover, because second best is
"less than." We have
zero tolerance for failure: a wrong move could cost us the game.
Who is willing these days to be seen as "the loser"? Yet
true winners know that unless they take a chance and see failure as
learning, they will not grow.
When was the last time you were
encouraged to parade your flaws? Or, like Harriet the Hog, do you cover them up, strutting
around as if no one sees through them?
We all marvel at such accomplishments as Thomas Edison discovering
the light bulb. Does anyone ever talk about the some 10,000 attempts he made
before discovering the carbon filament to carry the light?
What keeps us stuck like Harriet is our
own faulty vision of who we are. No
pantyhose could alter the fact that she was a hog.
But what could be changed? How
she viewed herself. This is
what takes us out of our comfort zone to that uneasy space of apprehension
and a feeling of unworthiness, which is followed by the wish to go
undercover for safety. This is when we tend to feel inadequate and helpless; but it
is also in this state that we have the capacity for greatness.
You cannot step in the same river twice, as it has moved on.
So instead of resisting the change, evolve with the natural flow that
keeps on moving with or without you.
H.G. Wells once said, "Our darkest
secrets lie deep within our past, but we must know that every past is a
beginning of a beginning and all that is and has been is but the twilight of
the Dawn." If today you
hide behind a dream because of what others might see as failure, or because
it exposes who you are, I invite you to chuckle once again at Harriet in her
ridiculous see-through pantyhose exposing what already could be seen.
I find in my work that those who open to
transformation learn to honor who they are, every bit as much as those they
are willing to become.
